City Of Bones-The Mortal Instrument Series BOOK 1

My first post on my new blog! So I know most of my fellow book lovers have probably already read "City of Bones" Book one of The Mortal Instrument Series, [check out her awesome website-http://www.mortalinstruments.com/] However, I just recently read it this year. I was browsing the local used book store and came across this book about Shadow hunters. I was instantly drawn to the cover [i know i know don't judge a book by its cover!] But i just couldn't help myself! It was dark, mysterious and sexy all at the same time. Just take a look at the picture below and tell me you don't agree!
Cassandra Clare turns the shadow world into a world id love to live in! [As Stephanie Meyer quotes on the cover!] Our main girl Cary Fray thinks she is just a normal teenager girl until one night at the Pandemonium Club she watches 3 shadow hunters slay a demon. Keep in mind shes the ONLY one in the club who can see these shadow hunters. She has the sight. Normal girls don't see invisible people, from one night her world takes a different turn.
Not only can she see the shadow hunters it turns out she is one as well, and when her mom goes missing they become her family.
Just to break down a little bit for those of you who don't know a shadow hunter is "a warrior dedicated to ridding the earth of demons" [definition straight from the back of the book!] and of course keeping the downworlders in step! [Downworlder- Werewolf, Vampire...] They are also called Nephilim, part human and part angel.

Jace is your perfect heroine for a book, hes sarcastic, witty and big-headed however thats all on the outside! Youll soon learn hes just a broken bad boy with a big heart that he covers up. He has powers most shadowhunters dont and not to spoil anything but hes the only one with these powers, youll have to read the books to find out why. But to quote the YA sisterhood blog [http://ya-sisterhood.blogspot.com/] hes a shadow hunter limited edition! There's no better way to put it!
Lets just say this is a paranormal love story with an awesome villain that you don't want to miss out on!! This will be one book that you wont be able to put down, get ready for a sleepless night.

I'm not going to go into too much detail in case some readers havn't had a chance to start these awesome novels!
But I will tell you Cassandra Clare keeps you on the edge of your seat in all of these books! You cannot wait to read more!
The 5th Book City of Lost Souls comes out in May of 2012.
